COMPENSATION: PER ADSUP I AGREEMENT
MINIMUM STARTING SALARY - $153,032
The Rose Tree Media School District seeks an outstanding student-centered middle level educator and leader for the position of Assistant Principal. Springton Lake Middle School has been recognized as a National and Pennsylvania School to Watch. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of and experience working with the middle level learner, with prior administrative experience preferred. Knowledge of middle level philosophy, current best practices in curriculum, instruction, and assessment, use of student data, and teacher supervision is required. The Assistant Principal also provides leadership and direct oversight of the master scheduling and student scheduling process. A willingness to work collaboratively within a highly driven, team-oriented environment is essential. This 12-month, Act 93 position is available August 3, 2026, with an exact start date to be determined.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Education, or a related field required.
- Valid Pennsylvania Principal Certification (PK–12) required.
- Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience, preferably at the middle school level. Prior administrative or leadership experience preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of the developmental characteristics and educational needs of middle level learners.
- Knowledge of current best practices in curriculum, instruction, assessment, and data-informed decision-making.
- Experience supervising and evaluating professional staff and supporting instructional improvement. Experience leading professional learning communities (PLCs) and collaborative teams highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with the school community.
- Experience promoting a positive school culture that supports student achievement, engagement, and well-being.
- Knowledge of student discipline practices, restorative approaches, and behavior support systems such as PBIS.
- Experience with master scheduling, student scheduling, and school operations preferred.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a highly effective leadership team and contribute to district and building-level initiatives.
